About

Dr. Hector Chapa, M.D., F.A.C.O.G. is a graduate of UT Southwestern Medical School Dallas, Texas (USA) with OBGYN residency training at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

He is a Board Certified ObGyn and serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Texas A&M College of Medicine in Bryan-College Station.

Dr. Chapa is also the Clerkship Director for ObGyn for Texas A&M College of Medicine where he teaches and oversees clinical medical students in their OBGYN experience.

He is also an attending physician for the Texas A&M Physicians Family Medicine Residency Program.

Career milestones

In 2018, he became the Director of interprofessional education at the College of Medicine and in 2019, was inducted into the Arnold P. Gold Humanism Honor Society.

In 2020, Dr. Chapa was voted “Educator of the Year” by the Texas A&M College of Medicine Bryan-College Station Campus. Lastly, he has been an invited physician-faculty member in South Africa, Israel, the European Union, The Netherlands, Norway, Ireland, Chile, Columbia, and Canada
